Many of our tenants need extra help and support to live successfully in the community We support our tenants at a housing scheme in Walkington in Beverley managed by the Wilf Ward Family Trust

York Housing Association employs a team of support workers who are responsible for assisting tenants to live independently.

The Association provides a wide range of supported accommodation in shared houses and self contained properties for people with different needs. This accommodation is available for people over the age of retirement, people with mental health problems, learning disabilities and single women.

In addition the Association provide flexible housing support schemes in York and Ryedale for people who have tenancies with the Association, or are tenants of other landlords, who require a level of support.

This support is tailored to suit the tenant’s needs. A variety of different types of support are offered that includes help with claiming benefits and dealing with debt.
