New Regulator To Champion Tenants’ Interests

A new powerful regulator is to oversee the quality of services which housing association and council tenants receive.

The Tenant Services Authority (TSA) was established December, 2008, and has pledged to place tenants at its centre, and ensure that all social landlords do the same. It is estimated that 10 million households are served by social landlords. In addition, many potential tenants who are on housing waiting lists will also be taken into account to ensure they receive a fair and just deal.

The Tenant Services Authority is responsible for shaping standards and inspecting social landlords to ensure they are delivering expected service, and work towards provision of excellent customer care to their tenants.

If you would like to know more about the TSA or become involved in shaping the future of York Housing Association, please contact Glenn Plews on 01904 540159, or you may want to look at the TSA website www.tenantservicesauthority.org
