Close Harmony performed last Saturday, October 17th, at Melton's One World Event

Close Harmony were hired to sing at Melton's Joint Churches One World Event at Sage Cross Church.

After those attending the event had eaten their supper which could have been a very simple poor man's meal or the hearty dinner of a rich man, Close Harmony united the world in song. The One World evening set out to raise awareness of the unfairness of the lottery of life whilst raising funds to combat world poverty,

Close Harmony's 45 minute performance included songs from parts of the globe less fortunate than our own, some with meanings very approriate to the theme of the event.

However, as the singers had been hired as the after dinner entertainment, they also threw in some songs simply for fun and merriment! They ended their set with an encore that certainly kept toes tapping to Danny and the Juniors' smash 1950's hit "At the Hop".

Close Harmony aims to please and was therefore delighted when Minister Philip McDonald suggested repeating the event next year on a bigger scale with Close Harmony's world tour included.
