CLOSE HARMONY had a great night at PICKWELL CHURCH last SATURDAY JUNE 13TH 2009
Close Harmony was in great form on Saturday when they gave a two full set concert to around 60 people in Pickwell Church.
The ensemble delivered their now well established songs with ease and panache and gave debut airings to three new songs learnt this last term: O Postaris - a passionate Czech love song; a whimsical rendition of the well known nursery rhyme Ba Ba Black Sheep; and a fast moving, toe tapping version of the 1958 hit for Danny and the Juniors - At the Hop.
Our audiences can't complain that they don't get variety!
Saturday's audience was far from complaining and joined in a rousing encore having first been taught the ropes by the group.
Well done Close Harmony - the good people of Pickwell were given a fine evening's entertainment.
Thank you Pickwell Church Association for booking the group, and thank you to the villagers who put on such a super buffet.
