A wonderful welcome back from Wymeswold
Global Harmony concert 28th March 2009
Global Harmony pulled out all the stops for it's return visit to Wymeswold village last night.
Three years ago, almost to the day, the choir performed in Wymeswold church. This time, in the Memeorial Hall, villagers saw and heard a bigger, more energetic and more confident choir - and did they appreciate it!
The audience's obvious delight at the diversity of the musical world tour it was taken on certainly showed, and comments afterwards revealed how impressed and amazed people were at the choir's ability to really get inside the differing moods and styles of the songs. They listened attentively to the tenderness of the gentle moving songs and did not flinch from the blast when 46 strong voices were unleashed on the powerful ones.
Well done to all the singers for another amazingly successful concert - it was a real tour de force.
The audience of over 100 also contained some of our loyal stalwarts who thought it our best concert to date "perfectly balanced in both sound and progamme".
We were treated to a delicious supper with the audience afterwards. Thank you Wymeswold for making us so welcome and our return appearance so memorable. A cracking night!
